Remember Me is a family photo book creation service that helps families discover and preserve their shared memories. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information and photo data when you use our service.
We take your privacy very seriously. Your photos are deeply personal and we treat them with the utmost care and respect.
The short version: We only use your photos to build your book. We never sell your data, never use photos for advertising, and never store originals on our servers.

Information We Collect
Account Information
When you connect your Google account, we receive:
- Your name and email address
- A secure access token to read your Google Photos library
- Basic profile information provided by Google
Photo Data
When you use Remember Me, we access:
- Photos from your Google Photos library within the date range you specify
- Photo metadata including date taken, location data (if available), and camera information
- Thumbnails of your photos for display within the app
Usage Data
We may collect basic usage information such as:
- Which features you use within the app
- Error logs to help us improve the service
- General usage patterns (not linked to individual photos)

How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the Remember Me service:
- To scan your photo library and identify family moments where your selected family members appear together
- To group photos into events and suggest the best shots for your photo book
- To generate captions and descriptions based on dates and locations
- To create a preview of your personalised photo book
- To fulfil your photo book order and arrange printing and delivery
We do NOT use your photos or personal data for advertising, marketing profiling, training AI models, or any purpose other than providing the Remember Me service.

How We Protect Your Data
We take the security of your photos seriously:
- All data is transmitted using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption
- We do not permanently store your original photos on our servers
- Photo processing happens in your browser where possible
- Access tokens are temporary and expire automatically
- We do not share your photos or personal data with any third parties except as required to fulfil your book order
- Your Google Photos access can be revoked at any time through your Google Account settings

Google Photos Access
Remember Me uses the Google Photos Library API to access your photo library. Our use of this API is limited to:
- Reading photos within the date range you specify
- Accessing photo metadata (dates, locations) to organise your memories
- Displaying photo thumbnails within the app for your review
We request read-only access. We cannot and will not modify, delete, or add photos to your Google Photos library.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary:
- Session data (access tokens, temporary photo processing) is deleted when you close the app
- Order information is retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes
- Email address is retained until you request deletion of your account
You can request deletion of all your personal data at any time by emailing sewheeler78@gmail.com.

Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict processing of your personal data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured format

Remember Me uses minimal cookies strictly necessary to operate the service:
- Session cookies to keep you logged in during your visit

Remember Me is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Family photos may contain images of children — these are processed solely to provide the service and are handled with the same protections as all other photo data.

- Gelato — Photo book printing and fulfilment
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Netlify — Website hosting
We do not sell your data to any third parties.
